Terms of Service

Welcome to GenZFound. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the GenZFound website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What GenZFound Is

GenZFound is a community-powered Lost & Found platform for Nepal that helps people who have found items connect with the people who lost them, using AI-assisted matching. We are a facilitator only. We do not take custody of items, verify ownership, or guarantee that any lost item will be recovered.

2. Eligibility & Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• Accounts are created through third-party sign-in (e.g. Google). You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity under it.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

3. Posting Items

When you post a lost or found item, you agree that:

• The information you provide is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
• You will not post items that are illegal to possess, stolen goods you are not lawfully reporting, or content that infringes anyone's rights.
• All posts are reviewed by a human moderator before they become publicly visible, and may be edited, rejected, or removed at our discretion.

4. Claims, Recovery & Rewards

• Claims and hand-offs are arranged directly between users. GenZFound does not mediate disputes, verify identities, or guarantee outcomes.
• Any reward is a voluntary arrangement between users, denominated in Nepalese Rupees (NPR). GenZFound does not process payments and takes no fee. Reward badges shown on the Service are informational only.
• Meet safely. Arrange exchanges in public places and use your own judgement when sharing contact details.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Using the Service to harass, defraud, impersonate, or endanger others.
• Posting false claims of ownership or attempting to obtain items that are not yours.
• Uploading malware, scraping the Service, or interfering with its operation.
• Posting unlawful, hateful, or sexually explicit content.

6. Your Content & License

You retain ownership of the photos and text you submit. You grant GenZFound a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and process that content for the purpose of operating the Service (including AI analysis and matching). You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to share what you upload.

7. AI Features

The Service uses AI to suggest item details from photos and to identify possible matches between lost and found items. These features are assistive and may be inaccurate or incomplete. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any AI-generated suggestions before submitting a post. AI matches are suggestions only and do not confirm ownership.

8. Moderation & Removal

We may review, reject, remove, or expire posts, and suspend or terminate accounts, where we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or to protect users and the Service. Active posts may automatically expire after a period of inactivity.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that items will be recovered, that matches are accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GenZFound and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from interactions between users, item exchanges, or reliance on AI features.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or its users.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Nepal, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
